  2. She is really good and what she is saying is true, but it feels so awkward to see her so comfortable preaching from pulpit. Bible is clear, and we should be diligent in obeying His word, even though that means getting down from the pulpit wonderful gifted women like her.

  3. Diego I appreciate that people have taught that women should not be
    leaders or teach in Church or that they have a lower place below men,
    but it is not what Paul was saying. Translators have not been honest at
    points. ie. Eph 5:21 Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.
    Wives and Husbands ( This sub heading has been put in when in fact if it is
    understood correctly verse 21 belongs to verse 22 and verse 22 in the
    Greek does not have the word submit in the sentence. You can see this if
    you look at an Greek/English Interlinear or ESword. so Eph 5:22 Should
    read “Wives, to your husbands as to the Lord.” in the context of the
    previous verse. Submitting to one another is the key.

    There were
    also women Elders but once again male translators in 1611 and since have
    perpetuated dishonest culturally biased insertion of male names in
    place of the Greek female name as in Rom 16:7 SaluteG782

    KJV and some others make the Female a Male
    and emphasise it by using the word ‘kinsmen’ as if they were all males.
    NIV gets it right 1. ‘Female’ (Junias) & 2. ‘relatives’ not kinsmen
    Ro 16:7 Greet Andronicus and Junias, my relatives who have been in prison with me.

    The
    issue of talking in Church has nothing to do with speaking out as there
    are two issues that clearly contradict that thinking. Paul clearly
    states that there are “neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor
    female,” in which the KJV gets it right we are all ‘children’ of God.
    whereas the NIV uses the word ‘sons’ incorrectly as using the word
    ‘sons’ does not fit with what the text is saying in the original Greek
    language.

    In the context of this understanding we also are all,
    male and female given gifts and all, including women are expected to use
    those gifts in the Church. If Paul was saying what some are claiming
    then these texts in Rom 12, 1 Cor 12 etc make no sense unless you start
    trying to create some context without Biblical support. There were other
    issues going on in Ephesus that Paul wrote to both the Ephesians &
    Timothy (who was in Ephesus when Timothy was written). It was the centre
    of the worship of Artemis (also called Diana) where women ruled as a
    Matriarchal society and men were seen as purely there for the purpose of
    procreation, as one of the great historians of the time reported.

    This
    understanding of the issues Paul was trying to address puts a whole
    different context to looking at the text through the eyes of a
    Patriarchal society which in turn leads to wrong conclusions.

    When you look at the whole picture of both the NT and OT he popular view of male dominance is clearly not supported Biblically.I pray this is helpful.

  4. If you read the verses in 1st Timothy chapter two, Paul is clearly giving his own personal teachings/preferences. He says “I do not permit” and “I command.” In 1st Corinthians 7:25 Paul shows that sometimes he really is giving his own personal opinion, BUT, he is giving his opinion as one filled with the Holy Spirit, as all who profess to know Christ should be. What Paul said about women is good, and I believe he had two main reasons for preferring this opinion on women, aside for the ones he gave.

    For one, the culture would not accept a women teaching others, as it was a male-dominance society.This is an obvious reason. The other reason that I believe was a major factor in this opinion was that there were many, many more men who were strong in their faith and spoke with authority from Christ. There was no need for woman to assume a role that men are clearly designed to be in since the men at that point were rising up and assuming the proper authority God had given them natural rights to assume.

    Now, though, this is not always the case. Often times it is the woman dragging the men to church, it is the woman trying to be the leader of faith in the family because the man won’t do it. Along with that, now not only is the culture open to a woman being used by God to teach, but the women often times have to do the teaching because the men won’t do it. The way is say this to others is this, “when a woman teaches as one from God, it is a glorious thing to see! That God could fill someone who was not originally created to lead to be able to lead with authority is amazing! But, when a man rises up in the power and authority God designed man to have, it will ALWAYS surpass that of the women because man is naturally designed to lead.”
    Really, women shouldn’t have to lead, but if they have to, do not hinder them. Often times our consciences are invaded over the matter simply because even our own brains testify that it is men who should be leading. We are supposed to do that, our women shouldn’t have to step out of what they were originally designed to do and lead because we men don’t have the same level of commitment to God that we should have.
