Tara Russell

Tara Russell is the CEO & Founder of Create Common Good, a social + entrepreneurial venture serving the marginalized. Tara has worked internationally for Fortune 500 companies and NGOs. Her work spans process engineering at General Motors in Shanghai, technical sales and marketing at Intel, and product development at Nike.

Tara co-founded NightLight International, an organization serving women at-risk in Bangkok, Thailand. Tara hopes to inspire others to use their talent and passion to change the world. Tara studied Mechanical Engineering at Georgia Tech. She lives in Boise, Idaho with her husband, Jeff, and her kids, Tyson and Lucy.

Create Common Good (CCG) provides training and employment to refugees and others in need. Their experiential programs transform lives and enrich communities. CCG builds upon the generosity and creativity of their volunteers and partners…because we all have something to give. They have a four-pronged approach: TRAIN people. GROW confidence. CREATE opportunity. STIR community. CCG operates small farms, product creation, and high end foodservice to provide further on-the-job training opportunities while uniquely meeting community needs.
