Jeff Vanderstelt discusses our need for the Spirit in discipleship.
He says, “I want to tell you something. You can’t do anything. John 15, Jesus says apart from me you can do nothing…I want to make sure that’s clear, because John 15, ‘Apart from me you can do nothing,’ is sitting right in the middle of John 14 and 16 where Jesus tells us about the Spirit. And I want to make sure it’s really clear, you and I aren’t ever going to lead anybody to Jesus—the Spirit has to do the work.”
